Propeller service
When you purchase this engine, you will receive a propeller that we think is suitable for your boat.
If this size propeller is not suitable for your boat afterwards, you can exchange it for a new one free of charge (provided there is no damage to the old propeller).
It is very important that you sail with the correct propeller because the engine must run at full power between 5500 and 6100 rpm. The choice of propeller therefore depends on the weight of your boat, what type of boat it is, and how you will use your boat.
For example, if you are going to use your boat for water skiing, we recommend installing a propeller with a slightly smaller pitch so that the boat accelerates better.
We can supply the most common propellers for this engine from stock.
Delivery
We ship globally from multiple warehouse locations for faster, more efficient delivery.
The engines are delivered and unloaded by our own employees so that you can be sure that the engine will be delivered to you undamaged.
Fitting the engine yourself
If you’re planning on fitting the engine yourself, we can always give you very clear instructions on how to do so.
The following points will be discussed:
– The correct way of drilling the holes in the shaft (with new boats).
– Sealing the engine with the right sealant to prevent leakage and rotting of the mirror.
– Hanging the engine at the correct height.
– Connecting the cabling to the remote control and gauges.
– Connecting to the battery (possibly via the main switch).
– Discussing which propeller you need for the best performance. (we often take several sizes of propellers with us so that we can determine on-site which one you need.)
– Explanation of how to install and correctly adjust the throttle/shift cables.
– Explanation of how to use a new engine.
– Explanation of the manufacturer’s warranty.
